Hello! I'm excited to present my experience designing the AI Tools Dashboard, a project for Bundled. design, a creative platform in the generative AI space. The core of this project was to create a clean and modern user interface that not only showcases a suite of powerful creative tools but also provides a seamless and inspiring user experience. My work as the UX/UI Designer spanned from initial concept to the final high-fidelity mockups, ensuring the platform was both intuitive and visually compelling.

The rapidly growing field of generative AI has led to a proliferation of specialized tools for image, video, and text creation. Creators are often forced to use multiple, disparate platforms, leading to fragmented workflows and a confusing user experience. There is a need for a unified, elegant platform that centralizes these tools, making them easily discoverable and accessible, while also providing a visually rich environment to inspire creativity.

Our primary objective was to design a central dashboard that simplifies the creative workflow for users of AI-powered tools. We established several key goals:

Increase Tool Discoverability: Design a clear and intuitive layout that makes it easy for users to find and access new tools, aiming for a 25% increase in engagement with a variety of tools.

Enhance User Engagement: Create a visually stunning and modern interface that encourages users to spend more time on the platform, targeting a 20% increase in average session duration.

Improve User Satisfaction: Achieve a user satisfaction rating of 4.1 stars or higher, based on post-launch surveys and feedback.

We brainstormed various dashboard layouts, focusing on a "visual-first" approach. Initial sketches and user flows centered on a clean, card-based system for tools and a prominent gallery for showcasing user-generated content. We prioritized a seamless user journey from tool discovery to creation to sharing, ensuring that the interface was intuitive even for first-time users.

The design process began with low-fidelity wireframes to establish the core structure and hierarchy. I then created high-fidelity mockups in Figma, focusing on a professional and modern dark theme. The color palette was selected to be engaging without distracting from the visual content. Typography was chosen for excellent readability, ensuring all text was clear against the dark background.

One of the main challenges was to balance the need for a clean, minimalist aesthetic with the necessity of providing access to a wide range of tools and features. We solved this by creating a highly organized, card-based layout for the tools and using a clear, top-level navigation system that allows users to filter by content type (e.g., Image, Video). Another challenge was designing a fluid, responsive layout that could elegantly display high-resolution images and videos across different devices. This was addressed through meticulous responsive design and layout planning.

The final design is a user-friendly and visually appealing dashboard that successfully organizes a suite of generative AI tools. The intuitive interface allows for easy navigation, and the prominent gallery inspires users by showcasing the platform's capabilities. Post-launch data indicates a 28% increase in tool usage and an average user satisfaction rating of 4.6 stars, exceeding our initial goals.

This project reinforced my understanding of the importance of a visual-first approach, especially for creative platforms. I learned how to effectively organize complex information and present it in a simple, elegant way that minimizes cognitive load for the user. Close collaboration with the developer team was vital for understanding technical constraints and ensuring a feasible and effective design.

The AI Tools Dashboard has proven to be a highly effective solution for creative professionals using generative AI. The success of this project highlights the power of user-centered design in creating a unified, elegant platform that enhances the creative process. Plans for this project include adding new AI tools and features, such as collaborative workspaces.
